The Masterclass takes place on May 26 at Restaurant Syv Ni 13/ Winelab Academy in Aarhus. Over the course of two hours, you'll gain unique insights into Danish fruit wine through expert presentations, exclusive tastings, and discussions on innovation and future potential.

Background and Context

The interest in Danish fruit wine is growing rapidly, and we’re excited to invite you to a special Masterclass dedicated to the production of world-class fruit wines.

Hosted by Andersen Winery in collaboration with Winelab Academy, this session will be led by our co-owner, Mads Andersen, our winemaker, Anna GarciaMads Jordansen from Winelab, and Mathias Breinholt from Restaurant Domestic.

Mads Jordansen will introduce Danish fruit wine and its growing presence in the industry, while Mathias Breinholt will provide insights into how the restaurant world is embracing fruit wine.

Mads Andersen and Anna Garcia will explore the evolution of fruit wine—from its historical roots to modern innovations—and take a closer look at the traditional method for producing sparkling fruit wines. We’ll also discuss the future of fruit wine and where we see this exciting industry heading.

Additionally, we will conduct vertical tastings of fruit wines not yet available on the market, explore a wide variety of sparkling wines made using the Traditional Method, discover other categories of fruit wines, and discuss ideal pairings. 

This is a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on insights into a category that’s redefining the wine world.
